Founder & CEO

RoboChef was founded by Aravind Durai, an accomplished executive with expertise in robotics and a track record of implementing sophisticated automation systems across multiple industries for Global 500 and startup companies. Previously, he was the head of engineering for a Silicon Valley startup responsible for developing an automated robotic warehouse. He holds multiple automation patents of products featured in renowned magazines. He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Aravind is responsible for setting the RoboChef’s vision and pursuing actions to accomplish it.

Peter Gillespie

Sr. Robotics & AI Engineer

Pete is a robotics expert with 12+ years experience. He has deployed complex automation systems for blue chip consumer and manufacturing companies. Key member of the team that implemented the automated recovery and recycling of precious metals in smartphones for the world’s largest electronics brand, saving them $40M per year. Pete has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University.

Pete is responsible for RoboChef’s robotics and controls software.

Marcus Petre

Mechanical Engineer

Marcus is an expert designer and builder of complex electromechanical systems. He was with a leading global automation company where he vastly improved the speed and quality of their motion systems. Marcus has a B.S. in Engineering Physics from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign.

Marcus is responsible for engineering design and fabrication of the RoboChef hardware.
